Today in class we watched a video about a man named Hans Rosling. He explained to us how countries changed over the years. He explained the countries by using a axis chart. On the left side was the ages 25 through 75. And on the bottom was ranged from 400$ to 40000$. It was neat seeing how the countries changed over the years. And how these countries might look in the future.

Today in class we got our tests back and went over them. First we did the normal routine and that was  ringing the bell and getting our test. I got a 95 but with my luck we went over it and the one question I was called on I had to read aloud and that one was wrong. So I got a 94. But my extra credit makes up for it I guess.

Extra credit post

After coming across Kiva it made me wonder how many people are in need of money to thrive. Kiva is a organization to help people reach a goal that they do not have enough money for. People give a small loan of $25 to help people reach their goal. Kiva is an international nonprofit organization founded in 2005. Their goal is to give money to people in need and to give back the money of the donors. This organization is has a very high reputation, judged by trusted websites. Two groups have that need money that caught my eye was a man named Francisco. This man is located in Mozambique, He wants to buy a water tank to have fresh water at his house for His family. Another person who caught my eye was a lady in Kenya who needs a loan of 300$ to start a poultry farming business. From the people I read about, their are all located in places where they do not have the support to thrive. And of of these places are lacking a element to survive. All of these people have great reasons to need loans

Today in class Mr. Schick surprised us with a couple of ways we can earn some extra credit points. The way we can do this in log onto Kiva.org an u have the opportunity to see who u want your loan to go to and how it would be used. From just spending the class period today going through and looking at all the people who want a loan is crazy. Just thinking how many people want to do something good for their family or community but don't have the money to start out. Some people was a couple hundred dollars then some want a couple thousand. But you know who needs the money and they will use it for a great cause.

Today in class we took a test. I felt like I did well on the test and it wasn't that big of a surprise. I knew  most of the answers and the 2 I didn't I took a educated guess. This test grade can really help my grade so I can have all A's and B's. I exited to know what we are learning next and I hope it is has easy has this unit.

Today in class we finished up those group projects. I think everybody did a great job. But you can tell who put in the more work. I know I laughed today because the classes mood was just great. I think the projects gave me a better under standing of what we are learning. Hearing each project really made the information sink in from hearing it over and over. So all fun things come to an end with a test 😭. The test in my opinion won't be that hard. Honestly the teacher does a good enough job that you just have to pay attention and you will be fine. But a little looking over the night before won't hurt at all. The biggest thing I learned today is not to play on your computer while Mr. Schick is talking. The poor guy Dylan watched his grave being dug while Mr. Schick was filling out the behavior log, And once he pushed send, he just fell in that hole. And that kids, is why you should not play on your computer. Oh and Thank you Mr. Schick for sending us an email for the vocal words

Today in class we shared more projects.....And I shared mine! I am glad I made everyone laugh during my presentation. I worked on the slides for like 45min by myself because the people in my group we busy and I wanted to go for a A and get it done. I believe my information was good, but I guess it is nice having other people in your group helping you correct grammar and format errors.

Today is class we went back over those population maps. Theres three different types: X-mas tree, cup, and a box. We visited a website called population pyramid, where you can search up any country and can see the population triangle. This is neat because you can see the future stats of the country. I am know everybody is excited about and so am I.

Today in class we went over our notes that we have been talking about for the past couple of days. Mr. Shick told us to be pretty much mentally prepared for test. We also talked about 3 shapes. One is a x-mas tree, box, and a cup. These symbolize the population of that year and age. It looks like a bar graph when it is laid out. Finally we need to know on our test is that women liv longer then men. This is because if the different risks men take and the environment they work in. While Women go to the doctors more frequently.

Today in class we took more notes😃! After we took notes we continued our searching on the Cia.gov. we looked up countries and compared some of their similarities and differences. This is neat because Mr. Shick has the previous year fact, so you can see how much that country change is just a year.

Today we got our test back and they are finalized. I got a 96 on test and I was very happy. This helped my grade tremendously. We then went over the to see what we got wrong, so we can study for our exam at the end of the quarter. We then jumped back into the power point. We talked about why people would leave their country to go some were else. We also talked about how Canada has free health care. Some people love this but some people hate it. First off it raises your taxes much more since your are not paying an actual health care tax.
